Torrence Hatch was born on November 14, 1982, in Southside Baton Rouge, Louisiana. His father suffered from drug addiction till his passing in 1997.

His mother was a teacher by profession. Boosie was his family’s pet name, and he eventually went as Lil Boosie.

He also played basketball well, and his mother believed that his good sportsmanship would help him get into a reputable university. The area where Lil Boosie grew up was incredibly dangerous and full of crimes.
